Thoha's Story part 3

2 months after ACL reconstruction:

I am doing basically fine after two months. Doing the physiotherapy as the doctor instucted and I hope everythings going to be fine. The physiotherapy changed from ROM(Range Of Motion) exercises of the knee to muscle strengthening exercises. Also walking long distances has also been included now. Lately my knee has been swolen again. I don't know why but the swelling is big. I informed the doctor and he said it is not a big problem. I have been studying more and more about the surgery, physiotherapy and aftermath  of the
surgery. I am pretty confident that I can again play football. I recently viewed a study showing that the 4-strand Hamstring graft has three times the strength than a normal ACL(Anterior Cruciate Ligament) does. It says that one strand is 70% of the normal ACL and hence 4 strands give about three times the strength. Its a matter of controversy in the internet about the grafts. But obviously for different people, different grafts are suited. For a full time player the patella tendon may be better but for a normal person like me plus a one who doesn't want the pain on the front knee while kneeling, the Hamstring graft will be better. The two grafts are basically the same when the pros and cons are weighed. Anyway, I want to share my status after two months.

1. Swelling increased just above the knee (may be due to more walking and exercises)
2. Stiffness in the knee (Same or more stiffness present than before)
3. The knee didn't extend fully (Recently discovered, a disaster)
4. ROM of the knee ( No full extension, Flexion about 130 degrees)
5. Limp when walking (probably cox no full extension)
6. Paining like Hell ( Donno the exact reason why)

This is my status for now and Insha Allah would update next month. :)
