3 months after ACL reconstruction

Hi all, I wanna share my situation after 3 months. I have been feeling much better when I am doing the physiotherapy, guided. I get the motivation and the situation is well known, no panicks and I am totally cool. What I did was after last month, when I discovered that my knee didn't extend fully, I went to IGMH (Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital) and consulted Dr. Shakeel. He said that my knee is fine and I CAN achieve full extension and flexion. I am very happy with it. Also he explained a lot about ACL reconstruction and we had a nice conversation. After that he prescribed me to do the physiotherapy.

2 months after ACL reconstruction:

I am doing basically fine after two months. Doing the physiotherapy as the doctor instucted and I hope everythings going to be fine. The physiotherapy changed from ROM(Range Of Motion) exercises of the knee to muscle strengthening exercises. Also walking long distances has also been included now. Lately my knee has been swolen again. I don't know why but the swelling is big. I informed the doctor and he said it is not a big problem. I have been studying more and more about the surgery, physiotherapy and aftermath of the

Few things are more demanding than eliminating bad habits, since they are part of our daily routines and personality. It takes days of patience and practice to break old habits.

1 month after ACL reconstruction

I have done the knee surgery and I am now 1 month and 5 days post operation. The surgery went smoothly. I will give a short description of the surgery.

The surgery is called arthroscopy (Keyhole surgery). Two holes are drilled at either sides of the knee. From one hole the arthroscope is inserted. This provides the inside view of the knee to the surgeon. And from the other hole the instruments needed are inserted. At first, a diagnosis is made so that the problem areas can be known accurately. In my case Grade1 tear of medial meniscus and Grade3 tear of ACL (Anterior cruciate ligament). The meniscus is torn and smoothened. Next the teared ACl is removed and the areas cleared. It seems that I had notch stenosis too which is a risk factor for ACL injuries. Then a drill is inserted and drilled

On Feb. 6th, *Sun*day—NASA released the first global view of our sun, courtesy of a pair of space probes collectively called Solar TErrestrial RElations Observatory, or STEREO.

Launched in October 2006, the two probes left Earth together but then separated and headed for opposite sides of the solar orb.

On February 6, STEREO-A and STEREO-B finally reached opposition, when each spacecraft was aimed at a different hemisphere.

In this configuration, the two probes allowed scientists to simultaneously see both sides of the sun for the first time in human history.

I am going to share one of my personal stories with you. I hope some of you will benefit from this and I really really want comments from any of you...

Its about my knee problem. I got it during the futsal practice for the CHSE tournament. That day we were having a practice match. I got on the pitch in the last half and I wanted to play a nice game. One of the sadest things in my life happened because I pushed my body in fact my knee too far. I was running and I tried to accelerate even faster for a 50-50 oppportunity. Suddenly I heard a "pop" noise from my knee and when I remembered I was sitting on the ground. I remained there for a while because I couldn't bear my weight on my knee. The pain was severe and there was swelling all around my knee.My knee could bend about 30 degrees because it was locked.

I went to the doctor after about a week when the knee didnt get better. The doctor told there was fluid and
blood inside the knee. So he put a syringe inside and sucked up the blood. I bed-rested for two days. After that also my knee locked so I went to the doctor again. He checked and told to do a physiotherapy exercise. I asked him whether I can play soccer again or not. He said it will be allright to go once the knee is a little better.

The Nexus S, Google's flagship successor to the Nexus One, has barely been out a month and there's already a major forced reboot bug found in it, which Google was recently forced to admit.

A user reported the problem at the end of December, where they were getting random forced reboots, usually while making a call. Dozens of other people reported the same problem, sometimes when making phone calls over 10 minutes and other times less than five minutes.

The problem appears to be contained to either the Nexus S itself or Android Gingerbread 2.3.1, build GRH78. Since The Nexus S is the only device that currently has the latest Android release it could potentially be a much bigger issue when updates start rolling out for other phones.

A Google employee responded to the difficulty recently, stating: “So we've successfully reproduced this issue and are in the process of investigating with Samsung. I'll provide updates as soon as I have them.”

The knee is a complex joint with many components, making it vulnerable to a variety of injuries. Many knee injuries can be successfully treated without surgery, while others require surgery to correct. Here are some facts about the knee from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons.

Knee Anatomy and Function

The knee is the largest joint in the body, and one of the most easily injured. It is made up of the lower end of the thighbone (femur), which rotates on the upper end of the shinbone (tibia), and the knee cap (patella), which slides in a groove on the end of the femur. The knee also contains large ligaments, which help control motion by connecting bones and by bracing the joint against abnormal types of motion. Another important structure, the meniscus, is a wedge of soft cartilage between the femur and tibia that serves to cushion the knee and helps it absorb shock during motion.
